Three Works on GMC

Professor Ouyang Jie, from the Sun Yat-Sen University of China, has prepared a series of books analyzing the Global Management Challenge(GMC), which is currently on the threshold of its twenty-third annual competition. As a famous expert specializing in the Science of Decision-making and Management, Professor Ouyang is the coach to the champion team of the twenty-first GMC—the “Blizzard” team from the School of Management at Sun Yat-Sen University of China. Professor Ouyang has abundant experience and is highly renowned in theoretical studies and practical training based on GMC. The three books she has written - < Management of Decision-making: Theory, Methods, Skills and Applications >, < Must Read before GMC Competition > and < Analytic Methods for Market Forecasting and Decision Making > - are the forerunners of a series covering both decision-making science and the study of decision-making by simulation. The three books are also used as reference books for students using GMC , and form a comprehensive, systematic and practical series for GMC training. Recommended as the training textbooks for GMC China 2004, the Chinese versions of these books have played an important guiding role to many GMC players. English versions of the books are to be published by the well known Pearson Publishing Group in 2006 and are dedicated to all company executives who care for, and participate in GMC, and also a GMC bible for MBA students all over the world! With publication of English versions of the three books, the cause of GMC will be further developed as a vehicle for academic studies, and will further its continuing expansion and popularity all over the world.

The Global Management Challenge is a complex, competitive business simulation developed by Edit 515 Ltd. of Edinburgh , Scotland , and promoted successfully as an annual international competition in twenty countries by Simuladores e Modelos de Gestao Lda (SDG) of Lisbon , Portugal .
